“This lake’s bottomless you know.” he always sounded so knowledgeable. “it goes all the way to Antarctica and people drown here all the time - when the lake isn’t frozen of course - and they are never, ever found because they go all the way through the world, to Antarctica.”

“What a sh...sh...shame because th...th...there’s nu...nu...nothing m...m...much in Ant...ant...ant...arctica.”

Just then, Micah grabbed hold of Jenny’s arm because otherwise he would have overbalanced and instead he made Jenny overbalance and the next thing she knew, she was looking straight into the eye of a penguin who kept telling her he was a doctor.

Micah was holding Jenny’s hand and rubbing it. The strange thing about the penguin, or rather the doctor, was that Jenny could only see one of his eyes.
